I’M BRITISH AND I KNOW IT AND I’M NEARLY 8 YEARS OLD

 By a special child

I’m British and I know it; I don’t like rounds of toast.

For what I really like for breakfast is Weetabix the most.

  You can keep your beef and pudding – I like spaghetti bolognese –

  And I prefer pizza, rice and pasta - all done in different ways..
 

I’m British and I like it , and the countryside is pretty –

It isn’t far from where I live to travel to Leeds city.

  I’d rather have a rock cake with my mug of Yorkshire tea,

  In Yorkshire we have countryside and we also have the sea.
 

I’m British and I’m happy – and I go to school each day –

But on Saturday and Sunday I can stay at home and play.

  I have a gran and granddad and I think they’re really swell.
