                Please don’t go through life believing that God’s angels don’t exist;

                For they’re flying round each one of us just waiting to assist.

                  And don’t expect them to appear with wings and shining robes

                  Or a halo pinned upon their heads so polished that it glows.

                They quietly work around us all - you’d never know they’re there

                And suddenly appear when you’re in the depths of great despair.

                  An angel came to me one day, it was such a great surprise

                   For a little girl came up to me - my angel in disguise.

                “Would you like to be my granny?” were the words that came to me –

                “My grandparents are dead” she said “Can you give some love to me?”

                   How could I say “Of course I can’t – just go away and play?”

                   My angel child came in our lives and that’s firmly where she’ll stay.

                So now we’re adopted grandparents to this little angel face –

                The time we spend together has come solely through God’s grace.

                  So, please don’t ever tell me that God’s angels are not there –

                   You too can find the ones you want if you turn to God in prayer.
