                My brother has a dog named Beckett;

                They throw a ball but he'll not fetch it.

                David cries out: "Beckett! Get it!" -

                  But Beckett looks surprised!

                You've probably heard them speak of Spice,

                A cat who's hated by all mice.

                She really isn't very nice,

                  When she catches little birds.

                I know a sheepdog who’s called Quaver.

                He'd herd the sheep if he were braver.

                His courage quickly seems to waiver

                   And he rushes back to bed.

                I know a poodle who's so cross

                He never will obey his boss.

                He never seems to care a toss -

                  Until it's dinnertime.
