ODE TO THE APOSTROPHE

              apostrophe

A poor and oft forgotten friend

Put on this earth, but to what end?

Often despised and viewed with scorn

So little loved, we soon might mourn.

To you who looks condemned to die

Rise up and fight – don't sit and cry.

          Oblivious of your situation

          People just need some education.

          Here's hoping we don't say farewell -

End his abuse and wish him well.

Teachers, from an early age may we

             LEARN TO LOVE THE APOSTROPHE
