Drac was a dragon who was very brave.
He lived by himself in an underground cave.
He scared everyone with his little games -
He'd open his mouth and blow out flames.
His tail was wavy and his neck was long -
The claws on his feet were big and strong.
Drac never had friends who'd come to play,
For all who saw him would run away.
Dragons like us, of course, get old -
And often poor Drac would feel far from bold.
Instead of fighting. he’d run and hide,
Often he stayed indoors and cried.
Below the world, in caverns deep,
Drac spent his days and nights asleep.
"He'll not come out again" folk said.
And this was true for Drac was dead.
There's no more dragons, people think,
The scientists say they're all extinct.
But, if you should hear a fearsome roar,
I'd hurry home and bolt your door.
