Family History Gems
Introduction
Over the years I have been researching both my wifes and my own family tree. With the marriage of our daughter I have also done some work on my son - law’s wife.
The following pages, which will be updated as I find out more, contain information on:
Our fathers experiences in World War 1 and their subsequent careers.
The Shears Brothers in World War 1 (my wife’s maternal grandfather and his brothers)
Thomas Shears transported for life 1837 (again a connection on my wife’s maternal side)
William Fowler Wicks in World War 1. ( My son in laws maternal great uncle.)
The Pinder’s Army Service. ( A connection on my maternal line)
Sellars Salves and Liniment. (Primarily my maternal great great aunt)
Major Eva Butler (Salvation Army) (My mother’s sister.)
