It’s time to let the summer go – To allow the autumn winds to blow. It’s the season to shake off the leaves; To find a home for harvest sheaves.
It’s time to let in the misty morns Draw sharp back the awakening dawn; Time to drop the ripening fruits Send migrating birds upon their routes.
Clear up the leaves, plant bulbs for spring. At Thanksgiving services loudly sing – Thank God for autumn’s golden glow Forerunner to the winter’s snow.
