Yes, I must agree with you

It is a funny name -

But Mabel’s not so funny when

                  She plays her little games.

She likes to hide the things you need

                  And watches whilst you search.

She hid my brother's football boots

                  And then the parrot's perch.

You always know when she's around

                  Because she leaves a scent,

But she never leaves enough of it

                  To discover where she went.

One day I'll catch that pesky witch

And put her in a cage,

And I'll laugh and laugh until I cry

To see her in a rage.

But until then I'll warn you all

                  That Mabel's running free

Just smell the air and be aware

Of all you hear and see.
