Although I am a mouse, it’s true – I don’t want bread and cheese. I don’t run and hide as other mice But can go freely as I please.
You’ll find me on the table top, And with my master I will stay. And I know he’d be quite sorry If he found that I had strayed.
Although I am a mouse, it’s true I’m not locked in a cage. When people see me in their home They don’t get in a rage.
No-one screams, no-one shouts And one thing which I like best – I’m never chased by horrid cats For I’m not furry like the rest.
Although I am a mouse, it’s true I’m with my master all day long. I don’t have feet but a little ball And a hand guides me along.
Although I am a mouse, it’s true I’m a very special buddy. I’m just his little servant mouse And you’ll find me in his study.
I think by now you’ll surely know What part I have to play – For I sit quietly by his computer And that’s exactly where I’ll stay!
