                To rid yourself of wergles

As they flomp across your grass

Just sprinkle them with sea salt

Then put them in a glass.

You can pickle them or tickle them

Or hang them out to dry.

Cooking them’s quite something else -

So it’s better not to try.

But there again you could try:

                I’ve found that flomping wergles

Are rather nice on toast –

But other folk, from what I’ve heard

Like to eat them with a roast.

Each person has his special way

Of dealing with these things –

But don’t eat them in the winter

They’re much sweeter in the spring.
