The teachers, the preachers, researchers and nurses -

Are hurrying past in the fog and the rain.

The dancers and actors, and those who make tractors,

Are scurrying fast for the eight thirty train.

Each day's packed with scurry, and hurry and worry.

They'll each do their best, but some carry the blame.

Then the teachers, the preachers, researchers and nurses.

Will meet up again on the homegoing train.
